What are Nail Foils and Transfer Gel? Nail foils are a trendy and creative way to add a unique design to your nails. They come in various colors and patterns, allowing you to express your personal style. Transfer gel is a special adhesive that helps you apply nail foils smoothly and evenly. Why Use Nail Foils with Transfer Gel? Nail foils create a stunning and eye-catching effect that is hard to achieve with regular nail polish. They can instantly elevate your manicure and make it stand out. By using transfer gel, you ensure that the foils adhere properly to your nails, resulting in a long-lasting and professional-looking finish. Step-by-Step Guide to Applying Nail Foils with Transfer Gel Step 1: Prepare Your Nails Start by preparing your nails. Remove any old nail polish and shape your nails to your desired length and shape. Push back your cuticles gently using a cuticle pusher, file your nail and clean off with an alcohol wipe.  Step 2: Apply a Base Coat Apply a thin layer of clear base coat to your nails. This will create a smooth surface for the transfer gel and help protect your natural nails. Put under your LED Lamp  and let dry for up to 1 minute. It should feel a little tacky.  Step 3: Apply Transfer Gel Using the applicator, apply a thick and even layer of transfer gel to your nails. Make sure to cover the entire nail surface. Apply generously. Pro Tip: I personally, like to apply a thin layer and then let the gel ball up at the end of the brush. Then I will lay down that ball and brush it on my nail that way.  Step 4: Let the Transfer Gel Dry Allow the transfer gel to dry under your LED lamp for 30 seconds, until it becomes very tacky. The gel should be sticky to the touch but not wet. Step 5: Apply the Nail Foil Take a piece of nail foil and press it firmly onto the nail, with the shiny side facing up (it will usually have a white bottom, the white side will go down on your nail. Gently rub the foil using your Diamond Pen to transfer the design onto your nail. Peel off the foil carefully to reveal the beautiful pattern.   Pro Tip: If the design does not fully transfer onto your nail, that's okay. Just Simply re-apply the foil in the exact same way you did the first time and rub it more in that area. It should transfer.  Step 6: Seal with Top Coat To protect your nail foil design and make it last longer, apply a layer of clear top coat  over the entire nail. This will also give your nails a glossy finish. Put your nail under your LED lamp for about 45 seconds.  Step 7: Repeat for all Nails Repeat the previous steps for all your nails, one at a time, until you achieve the desired look. In Conclusion, Applying nail foils with transfer gel is a fun and creative way to experiment with different nail designs. It allows you to showcase your personality and style. Hey! Welcome back!     This is Kandi, I wanted to personally write you and let you the changes that have happened in the last six months with our business. I want to be very clear about our business and where it is headed. I have always talked about transparency and keeping you informed is apart of that promise.    While many of you know what has been going on around here because you follow us on Instagram.. However, for the few that are seeing that we just had our Re-Grand Opening on 8.1.    Here is all the deets...       Back in February we hired an "operational Manager", this would be her official title, but we call her Anne :)  When we had our first meeting with Anne, she asked us "Where do you see your business in 5 years?". Ella and I decided that we wanted to be the "Hobby Lobby of Nails". We want to give the everyday-woman  (that's you, babe!) the ability to become your own nail tech and save so much money vs going to the salon. We also wanted to offer salon quality products, with such good quality that we will be able to offer them to our local nail salons as a wholesale opportunity in the future.    - "Hobby Lobby of Nails". - We took the last six months and went through our business and created a new strategic plan. Then we set out to complete that plan.  Our future is bright and we are so very excited to offer you our amazing new products. We made this our first collection because it is one of favorite collections. don't get me wrong, all of our collections are amazing! We just wanted to start with a bang and our 3D collection offers you just that.  Can you imagine being able to think of a design and being able to get the designs or tools needed to create that design, and doing it with salon quality products! I know right!? It sounds amazing!  When I do my nails I LOVE the creating process. I start with coming up with a design I want to make  (I usually do this on pinterest & get ideas). I then grab a style of press-on-nails, I pick out a wrap and I grab anything else that it will take to make the design (glitter, 5D art, powder, stickers, brushes, etc.) I start creating the design and it is like therapy for me.   So, with that said, We have 2 Halloween Collections coming out, Fall and Christimas products coming out. I am very excited to show you all that we have lined up for you!  I cannot thank you enough for being here, right now reading this blog posts. It means the world to me. I love what I do. Introduction  Nail wraps are a fun and easy way to add some flair to your nails without having to go to a salon. They come in a variety of colors and designs, and can last up to two weeks. Here are the steps to apply nail wraps at home:  Step 1: Clean and Prep Your Nails Start by washing your hands and nails with soap and water. Dry your nails completely. Use the provided nail file and buffer to file and buff your nails. This will remove any oils and debris from your nails that could prevent the nail wraps from sticking properly. Step 2: Select the Right Size Each nail wrap is designed to fit a specific nail size. Select the nail wrap that best fits each of your nails. It's better to choose a wrap that is slightly too small than too large. If the wrap is too large, it can wrinkle and peel. Step 3: Apply the Nail Wrap Peel the nail wrap off of the backing paper and place it on your nail. Smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles with your fingers or the provided cuticle stick. Use a nail file to trim off any excess wrap, and file in a downward motion to avoid lifting the wrap. Step 4: Apply Heat (If applicable) Use an LED/UV Lamp to apply heat to the nail wraps. This will activate the adhesive and help the wrap conform to your nail. Hold the heat source about 6 inches away from your nails for about 30 seconds (LED) - 2 minutes (UV) Step 5: Seal the Nail Wraps Apply our top coat of clear nail polish to seal the nail wraps and extend their lifespan. Make sure to cover the edges of the wrap to prevent it from peeling. Allow the top coat to dry completely before using your hands. Conclusion With these easy steps, you can apply nail wraps at home and have beautiful and long-lasting nails.
